What every site gets

Every site we host sits behind Cloudflare with DDoS protection, a web application firewall, and bot filtering. Servers are built to CIS (Centre for Internet Security) benchmarks. DNS is managed through Cloudflare for performance and security. SSL certificates are automatic.

Security patching

High severity patches are initiated within 24 hours and completed within a week. Medium severity within a week, completed within a month. Low severity within a month. We don't wait for things to break. Monthly vulnerability scanning via Intruder.io catches issues before they become problems.

What support covers

24/7 monitoring, uptime guarantee, monthly plugin and theme updates with post-update QA, security patches, bug fixes, and email support during business hours. We check that updates don't break anything before they go live. New features or significant changes are quoted separately.

How hosting scales

Small sites share infrastructure with low contention. Sites that need more get dedicated environments with caching layers and performance optimisation. High-traffic or e-commerce sites get redundant hosting with load balancing, auto-scaling, and enhanced disaster recovery. We match the infrastructure to what the site actually needs.

Where are your servers located?

We use AWS and DigitalOcean data centres in the UK and EU. We choose the location based on where your users are and any data residency requirements you have.

What does ongoing support include?

Server monitoring, security patching, performance checks, SSL management, backups, and a response SLA for issues. We also handle CMS updates, plugin maintenance, and minor content changes.

Can you take over hosting from our current provider?

Yes. We migrate sites regularly. We handle the full process including DNS, SSL, testing, and the cutover. We do it with zero or near-zero downtime.

What happens if something goes wrong at 2am?

Our monitoring catches most issues before they affect users. If something does go down, we have alerting in place and respond based on the severity. Critical issues get addressed immediately, not the next business day.

What's included in the monthly support?

Monitoring, security patching, plugin and theme updates with QA, bug fixes, and email support during business hours. Excludes fixing issues caused by client changes and new feature development.

Can you manage DNS for sites not hosted with you?

Yes. We can manage DNS through Cloudflare as a standalone service. It gives your site DDoS protection and performance benefits regardless of where it's hosted.

How fast are security patches applied?

High severity within 24 hours, completed within a week. Medium severity within a week. Low severity within a month. We don't wait for scheduled maintenance windows on critical issues.

Do you handle email hosting?

No. We handle transactional email (form submissions, order confirmations) via SendGrid SMTP with proper SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configuration. Mailbox hosting is separate and usually sits with the client's Office 365 or Google Workspace.
